Ft. Dodge – Maurice Lee "Cotton" Larman, 94, died April 21, 2025 at Kansas Veterans Home at Ft. Dodge. He was born on October 1, 1930 at Byers, Oklahoma the son of Basil and Eva (Forehand) Larman.
He married Joyce Swartz on April 18, 1959, she preceded him in death. Mr. Larman proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He attended college to become a court reporter. He worked at Dillon's, Spare Tyme Bowl Alpha Beta and Cargill for 35 years before retiring. His favorite saying was "Get To Work".
He was a member of the Howard Gotschall V.F.W. Post #1714, American Legion and the American Bowling Association all of Dodge City.
He is survived by his children Debbie Nuci and husband John; Charleen Foskuhl and husband Jerry; Don Larman and wife Rene; Bobby Larman and wife Kerri; Kenney Larman; Donnie Clare and wife Rachel and bonus daughter Sandy Stramel. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Larman, parents Basil and Eva Larman, siblings Clarence (Pete) , Vivian, therman, Neva, Maureen, and Vernan. He is also preceded in death by a Granddaughter Charlynett Larman, Great Granddaughter Mikayla Overton and five other great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Scott Tilley presiding. Burial will follow at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Ft. Dodge. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Howard Gotschall V.F.W. Post 1714 in care of the funeral home.
