IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maverick Parker
Loewen
September 4, 2021 – February 20, 2022
Sublette - Maverick Parker Loewen was born to Walter and Eva Loewen on September 4, 2021, at the Family Birth Center in Dodge City. Soon after his birth, he was transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. There he spent the first 38 days of his short life, overcoming different challenges and captivating the hearts of those who cared for him. Eventually he was diagnosed with Zellweger Syndrome.
On October 12, 2021, Maverick came home, and his sister and brother got to meet him for the first time. In the following weeks, Maverick met his family and friends.
These are a few highlights of his life. He spent Christmas with his cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. In January 2022, he was dedicated to his Creator along with four of his newest cousins and friends. He spent many days in his mommy's arms listening to music and would watch football with his daddy. His brother showed him many basketball tricks while his sister made up lots of songs for him. He was smothered in many hugs and kisses and countless "I love yous". Each day with him was a gift.
On February 20,2022, after several days of battling pneumonia at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Maverick spent his final moments with his mommy, daddy, brother, and sister. From the arms of his earthly father to the arms of his Heavenly Father, he passed peacefully into eternity.
He is greeted in heaven by two sisters Addison Taylor Loewen and Samantha Taylor Loewen. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents: Walter and Eva Loewen of Sublette; his sister, Bethany Amber Loewen and brother, Clayton Micah Loewen; his Grandma and Grandpa; Nana and Papa; 16 aunts and uncles; and 13 cousins. He will be greatly missed.
