Dodge City - Mercedes IBarra Perez, 61, died November 21, 2012 at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita. She was born on September 24, 1951 in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Antonio IBarra and Emma Perez.

Mercedes is survived by a Son Gustavo Fernandez and wife Rowina of Dodge City; a daughter Socorro Fernandez Durango, Mexico three brothers, Antonio IBarra, Ignacio IBarra of Durango, Mexico and Alfredo IBarra, of Dodge City; five sisters Maria Los Angeles IBarra Perez and Margarita IBarra Perez of Durango, Mexico, Lidia IBarra Perez of Tucson, Arizona and Marina IBarra Perez, and Elvira IBarra Perez of California; five grandchildren, Gustavo, Carlos and Victor Fernandez and Jaquelin and Jennifer Ramirez.

Mercedes was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. A family gathering will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at a later date in Mexico.
