Obituary
Wichita - Metissa Dawn Tolbert, 39, died October 28, 2011 in Wichita. She was born on July 27, 1972 in Bucklin, the daughter of Doug and Donna (Gepner) Hinshaw.
Metissa liked horses, writing poetry, camping and fishing, spending time with her family and friends, loved the outdoors and she had a passion for music.
She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1990 and was a member of the FFA.
Metissa is survived by a daughter Ciarra Lindholm of Liberal and two sisters, Daniela Butler of Manhattan and Sharla Garrison of Wichita, and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Chidrens' Hospital in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
