Michael W. Parker, 56, died August 1, 2019 at his home in Brunswick, Maine.  He was born on May 17, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Liberty Wilson (Sonny) and Saundra (Williams) Parker.

The family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma when Mike was a young child and were members of the Grand Avenue Church of Christ.  He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1981.  After graduation, Mike attended Oklahoma State University for two years and half years.  He began working for Treasury Drug in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  The company later transferred him to Kansas City.  There he met and married April Hamilton.  They later divorced.  Mike joined the Naval Reserve in 2000 and transferred his Naval commitment to Brunswick NAS when he moved to Brunswick, Maine in 2003.  Mike attained the rank of E-6 Petty Officer.  He resigned from the Naval Reserves when his health declined with an honorable discharge in 2014.  In his civilian career, Mike worked for Lowe's for 14 years, lastly as a kitchen designer until his health no longer allowed.

Mike is survived by his father, Sonny Parker and wife Judy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his mother, Saundra Carlson and husband Dean of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a brother, Jeffrey Parker and wife Jennifer of Collinsville, Oklahoma; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Graveside memorial service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton, Oklahoma on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
