Moises S. Llamas, 87, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Western Plains Medical Complex at Dodge City, KS. He was born on February 4, 1923 at Tenamaxtlan Jalisco Mexico the son of Louis and Herlinda (Salcedo) Llamas.

He enjoyed working as a mechanic and and working in the fields. He married Socorro Mercado on June 1, 1955 in Mexico. He enjoyed life and general and was a very strong willed man.



Survivors include two sons Samuel Llamas of Woodland, California, Myses Llamas of Grand Island, Nebraska. Three daughters Rocio Alavarez of Dodge City, Kansas, Alina Hernandez of Dodge City, Kansas, Maribel Cardenas of Freemont, Nebraska. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and four sisters.

Vigil service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe on Friday February 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Moises S. Llamas Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
