Cimarron - Nathalee A. Shriver, 80, died November 6, 2017 at the Shepherd's Center of Cimarron. She was born on May 4, 1937 at Salina, the daughter of W.K. and Pauline Opal (Armstrong) Carson.
Nathalee was a graduated of Salina High School. On May 4, 1959 she married Ralph Cecil Shriver at Salina. In 1969 they moved to Dodge City and have been area residents since. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for Camilla Haviland and later was a yoga and dance instructor. Nathalee was very involved in various community activities.
She was a member of the Grace Community Church of Dodge City.
Nathalee is survived by three daughters, Diane Bennett of Edwardsville, Illinois, Janet Smith and husband Leland of Cimarron and Cathy Hotzel and husband Jason of Kansas City, Missouri; 17 grandchildren, Dion Bernbeck and wife Amanda, Jarred Smith, Tara Burton and husband Jeff, Jacob Smith and wife Amanda, Jessica Parish and husband Jeff, Joshua Smith and wife Kyndell, Bethany Crum, Allison Hotzel, Traena Bennett, Rachel Konrade and husband Tyler, Katie Kanelopoulos and husband Gabe, Courtney Smith, Aaron Hotzel, Candace Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jaden Smith and Jordan Smith; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Dan Carson and wife Sue of Topeka and a sister, Barbara "Cissie" Wehmeier and husband Wally of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph and a son, Neal Shriver.
Funeral service will be held at Grace Community Church on Friday November 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Kirk Larson and Jarred Smith presiding. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at the Utica Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday November 9, 2017 from Noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
