Dodge City- Neva Belt-Hirn, 93, died March 27, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center in Dodge City. She was born on November 23, 1917 in Cimarron, KS the daughter of Volany and Mary (Goodman) Mills.

On January 17, 1937, she married Norman Belt in Kinsley. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1964. She then married Bill Hirn on February 14, 1993 in Sublette. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1999. Neva operated an appliance store in Sublette with her husband Norman. She enjoyed sewing, photography, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Neva loved to cook. She made numerous wedding cakes and was the donut queen of Haskell County.

Neva is survived by two daughters, Rogena Randall and husband Robert and Janet Zimmerman and husband Steve both of Dodge City; one son, Karl Belt and wife Lisa of Andover; one sister, Lieutitia Heft and husband Jimmy of Topeka; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. Neva was also preceded in death by her parents and a great great granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor David Erwin presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from noon to 8:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Center of Dodge City in care of the funeral home.
