Obituary

DODGE CITY - Norma Jean Mills, 80, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City. She was born on August 13, 1929 at Dodge City the daughter of Emmet Martin and Hazel May (Scott) Burdue.

On April 7, 1963 she married Delbert Mills in Dodge City, he survives. She was a grade school teacher for several years and was an assistant manager for Railway Employees Credit Union in Dodge City. Norma was a member of the First Christian Church, Dodge City, where she taught Sunday school and Bible Bowl. She was an active member of the Daughters of The American Revolution and an avid geneology researcher. Norma was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority of Dodge City.

She is survived by her husband Delbert Mills of Dodge City; three sons, Chris and Craig Mills of Dodge City, and Everett Mills and wife Jennifer of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandsons, Jon, Steven and Christian all of Dodge City; and a granddaughter, Victoria of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a brother Earl Burdue.

Funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church of Dodge City on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Phil Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
