DODGE CITY - Norris Chris Henson, 93, died April 14, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center, Dodge City. He was born on December 25, 1918 at College Park, Georgia the son of Arthur Lee and Ann May (Hanson) Henson.

He graduated high school in Georgia and attended Georgia Tech University for one year. Chris served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Henson was a music composer and enjoyed golfing.

He was a member of the United States Golf Association

Chris is survived by a sister, Juanita Orr Duckworth of Red Oak, Georgia; brother-in-law, J.C. Conley of East Point, Georgia; and a nephew, Brad Conley of Sharpsburg, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Conley.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Randall S. Harrell presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
