DODGE CITY - Oda F. White, 77, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on October 23, 1931 at Hooker, Missouri the daughter of Morris Carl and Inez Mable (Ross) O'Dell.

Oda was a graduate of Doniphan High School in Doniphan, Missouri. She married Robert White on December 18, 1954 in Rolla, Missouri.

She was a member of Church of God of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Survivors include a niece, Carolyn Sauerwein and husband Charlie of Cimarron; sister-in-law, Juanita O'Dell of Rozel; and other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Paul and Wayne O'Dell; and sister Hazel Harding.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Mr. Charlie Sauerwein presiding. Burial will be 9:00 AM MST on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Gideons International in care of the funeral home.
