OFELIA CASTILLO

Dodge City - Ofelia Castillo, 40, died December 2, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on February 2, 1973 at Mexico, the daughter of Humberto and Ramona (Mendoza) Castillo.

She was a member of the of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City.

Ofelia is survived by her husband, Edmundo Rodriguez; two sons, Julian Rodriguez and Alex Rodriguez; one daughter, Ines Rodriguez; her parents, Humberto and Ramona (Mendoza) Castillo; one granddaughter, Madelynn Garcia Rodriguez all of Dodge City. Also survived by four brothers, Jose H. Castillo, Samuel Castillo, Manuel Castillo all of Dodge City and Alfredo Castillo of Mexico; five sisters, Norma L. Castillo, Irma Castillo, Mariabel Castillo all of Dodge City, Maria L. Castillo of Mexico and Adrianna Castillo of Denver, CO; and one special friend, Dean Sulzer of Dodge City.

Vigil service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 5:30 P.M. Funeral mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 12:00 - 4:00 P.M.. Memorials are suggested to Ofelia Castillo Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
