Satanta - Oliver Harlow, 92, died November 27, 2013 at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta. He was born on February 10, 1921 on the family farm near Satanta, the son of Robert Young and Ella Lenora (Chapman) Harlow.

Oliver was a lifetime resident of Satanta. On August 18, 1950, he married Zona Sandberg in Buckeye, Colorado. She survives. Mr. Harlow was the manager at the Satanta Cooperative Elevator until his retirement in 1986. Oliver enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid antique collector and love to attend auctions. Oliver also enjoyed bowling and bowled in both a men's league and on a mixed team with Zona.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Satanta.

In addition to his wife, Zona, Oliver is survived by three daughters, Violet Viola Elliot and husband Miles of Chesapake, Missouri, Brenda Bussell and husband Larry of Borger, Texas, and Deborah Forward and husband Bob of Hugoton; one sister, Fern Williams of Kingman; six grandchildren, Katherine Brooks, John Guenther, Todd Guenther, Amber Riser, Clint Forward, and Bryce Forward; and nine great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Marvin, Henry, Austin, Earl, Floyd, and Sherman; and three sisters, Alice McIver, Inez Burling, and Faye Foster.

Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Satanta on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Rod Klingsick presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Satanta or Satanta Happy Agers in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette.
