ORA MAE SCHRAEDER
Dodge City - Ora Mae Schraeder, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born on May 9, 1923 at Harper, Kansas, to John Paul and Bessie E. (Hutchinson) Heck.
She married Bernard Moline on August 28, 1943. She was widowed in February 1944. On December 25, 1950 she married Gail G. Schraeder in Jetmore, Kansas. He also preceded her in death during their 55th year of marriage.
She moved to Dodge City in 1950 and remained a resident until her passing.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and was active in her children's education. She was active in her church and served on many committees throughout her life. She loved to play bridge and travel. She and her husband Gail took many, many cruises, and traveled throughout the world.
She is survived by three daughters,Bernardette Porter and husband Bob of Escondido, California; Gina McCullough of Olathe, Kansas; and Mia Korbelik and husband Barney, of Dodge City. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Garrett Dixon and wife Chrissy, Bryant Dixon, Dylan McCullough and wife Lauren, Brea Ontiveros and husband Fred, Hunter Korbelik and wife Cassandra, Quinn Korbelik, five great-grandchildren and one sister in law Jennie Schraeder, as well as many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, at 10:30 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Dodge City with Barney Korbelik, C.R.E. presiding. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, December 6, 2013 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or Employee Fund at Aberdeen Village, Olathe, Ks. in care of the funeral home.
