Dodge City - Patricio Francisco Perez, 47, passed September 25, 2015 at St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita. He was born on November 20, 1967 in Dodge City, the son of Antonio and Marguerita (Lozano). He grew up in Dodge City and attended Dodge City schools.
On July 3, 1993 he married Bridget Mariche in Dodge City. Patricio worked for S.W. Cable and Engineering of Dodge City. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.
Patricio is survived by his wife Bridget Perez, Dodge City; a son Patrick, Jr. and companion Patricia Solis, Olathe; two daughters Brittany Perez and companion Carlos Guevara and Brooke Perez all of Dodge City; five grandchildren;mother and step father Marguerita and Roberto Ortiz, Dodge City; father and step mother Antonio and Jackie Perez, Emporia;eight brothers, Antonio Perez, Jr. and wife Janie, Altus, Oklahoma, Jeffery Perez and wife Leslie, Holcomb, Severo Perez, Dodge City, Joseph Marshall Perez and wife Danielle, Dodge City, Vincent Perez and wife Veda, Little,Rock, Arkansas, Roberto, Jr. Ortiz, Dodge City, Lorenzo Ortiz and wife Rosa Durango, Mexico, Humberto Ortiz, Dodge City; seven sisters, Alberta Prosper and husband Floyd, Little Rock, Arkansas, Sabrina Villagrana and companion Melquin Monge, Theresa Rivas and husband Jesus, Caretina Rivas and husband Heber, Juanita Ortiz and companion Santiago Lopez, Raquel Varela and husband Juan and Topazio Ortiz all of Dodge City. He is also survived by one step brother Mat Minton of El Dorado, Kansas and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Friday, October 2, 2015 from Noon to 7 P.M. followed be the Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Patricio Perez Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
