Paul Calvin Kellar, 66, died April 5, 2019 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on January 15, 1953 in Valentine, Nebraska, the son of Walter Calvin and Erelene (Vaughn) Kellar.
Paul spent his childhood in Valentine, Nebraska where he attended school. After graduation, he began his career as a mechanic. In 1980, he moved to Dodge City and began working for Maupin Truck Parts. He worked as a semi mechanic for over 38 years.
Paul loved his children and grandchildren to the moon and back. He enjoyed taking the grandkids with him everywhere and teaching them the country side of life. Paul was a gunsmith and an avid fisherman. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Paul is survived by two daughters, Marlana Villanueva and husband Raymond and Karen Britt and husband William all of Dodge City; a sister, Cheryl Kellar of Denver; two brothers, Gregory Kellar of Great Bend and Kevin Kellar of Denver; and five grandchildren, Gage Kellar, Emily Britt, Harley Villanueva, Michael Britt, and Raymond Villanueva, IV. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to the Ford County Humane Society in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel – 1901 Sixth Ave – Dodge City, KS 67801.
