Cimarron – Phyllis C. Nash, 91, died November 11, 2023 at The Shepherd's Center in Cimarron. She was born on April 9, 1932 in rural Gray County, Kansas the daughter of Chester and Wilda M. (Haun) Cossman.

Phyllis married Gene H. Nash on April 9, 1952 in Cimarron, he preceded her in death on October 25, 2000. She loved gardening, cooking, sewing and crocheting in her spare time. Phyllis worked at the Gray County Court House and the Cimarron Insurance Company for many years. She was also engaged in farming with her husband.

She was a member of the Cimarron First Christian Church.

Phyllis is survived by three daughters Jeanine English and husband Richard of Sanford, Florida; Charmaine Steinwand and husband Tim of Garden City, Kansas and Sharon Deaver and husband Kevin of Ingalls, Kansas. She is also survived by six Grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Kenneth Eugene Cossman.

A private family funeral service will be held at a later date with Mr. David Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Cimarron on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
