Rafael Landa, 90, passed away on August 12, 2026, at his home in Dodge City, Kansas.

Rafael Landa was born on January 25, 1936 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose Landa and Felipa (Banuelos).Rafael married Enelia Casas on July 2, 1965 in Mexico, she survives. He loved working in his garden, traveling, volunteering at the church and spending time with his family.

Rafael was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Rafael is survived by his wife Enelia of the home, his children Celia, Manuel, Araceli, Eleazar, Elizabeth, Jose Luis, Maria E., Edelmira. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and his siblings Maria, Josefina, Luz and Lidia.

Rafael is preceded in death by his parents, two children Jose and Maria and two siblings Manuel and Rosario.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial will follow the Mass at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Chapel. Vigil will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in care of the funeral home.
