Randall (Randy) Gene Fitzsimmons, 44, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born on January 14, 1967 in Dodge City, the son of Bobby and Salley (Gomez) Fitzsimmons.

Randy graduated from Dodge City High School. He then went to Kansas State University and graduated with a degree in landscape architecture. Randy was a retired State of Kansas employee.

Randy is survived by his partner, Jerry Robinson of Wichita; three daughters, Danette Robinson of Wichita, Janel Robinson of Denver, Colorado, and Kristin Robinson of Wichita; two brothers, Ryan Stowell and wife Kori of Wichita and their children, Trey, Alanis, Alyssa, Tyler, and Tanner; and Tony Fitzsimmons and wife Laura of Mt. Home, Arkansas; one sister, Tina Hinton and husband, Mike of Omaha, Nebraska; grandfather, Pete Gomez of Dodge City; six grandchildren, Maddy, Arian, Brian, Kenzie, Chloe, and Dane; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Fitzsimmons; his mother, Sally Gomez Stowell; a sister, Rhonda Fitzsimmons; and a grandmother, Sally Gomez.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Deitra Black presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Victory in the Valley in care of the funeral home.
