Raul De La Torre, 49, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Wright due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on February 26, 1961 at Los Cardos, Mexico the son of Antonio and Maria (Carlos) De La Torre.

Raul dedicated most of his life to coaching soccer. He was currently working for Ben E. Keith Company.

Survivors include his wife, Alicia (Catano) De La Torre of Dodge City; four sons, Raul De La Torre, Jr., Andrew De La Torre, Isaias De La Torre, Antonio De La Torre all of Dodge City, one daughter, Marlene De La Torre of Dodge City; his mother, Maria De La Torre of Mexico; seven brothers, Martin De La Torre of Mexico, Antonio De La Torre of Ontario, California, Adolfo Carlos of Mexico, Alfonso Carlos of Chicago, Illinois, Refujio Carlos of Chicago, Illinois, Jesus Carlos of Mexico, Juan Carlos of Mexico; and one sister, Linda Carlos of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Felix Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation. Memorials can be made to Raul De La Torre Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
