RAYMOND LEE STEININGER
Dodge City - Raymond Lee Steininger, 85, died March 13, 2014 at Trinity Manor Skilled Facility in Dodge City. He was born on March 20, 1928 at Vona, Colorado, the son of Ludwig and Lottie (Parshall) Steininger.
He married Helen Andrewjeski in 1946. She preceded him in death. He later married Glenda Bennett in 1961. He was owner/operator of Steininger Trucking for forty years. Raymond was an avid hunter and fisherman that loved the outdoors.
He was a member of the Wilroads Garden Christian Church, Dodge City, and was also a life member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Steininger , Dodge City, daughter, Lesa Meis and husband Frank, Greeley, Colorado; sons, Mike D. Steininger, Elbert, Colorado; Terry Steininger and wife Conni, Salina, Paul Steininger and wife Cindy, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Joe Lees, Lakin, sisters Nedra Webster, Anacortes, Washington; Freida Dewey, Hettinger, North Dakota, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to his first wife Helen , he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Konrade, four sons, Tom Gardner, David Steininger, Tim Steininger, and Lee Steininger,; two grandchildren, Stesha Steininger, and Chris Hodges; and one brother, John Steininger.
Funeral services will be held at Wilroads Garden Christian Church on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Sunday March 16, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Wilroads Garden Christian Church in care Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Avenue, Dodge City, Kansas.
