RAYMOND N. STOTLER
Dodge City - Raymond N. Stotler, 93, died March 31, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on February 8, 1920 in Dodge City, the son of Gus M. and Bessie (Potter) Stotler.
Raymond served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On May 23, 1941, he married Aileen G. Balderston in Dodge City. She preceded him in death November 28, 1985. He was owner and operator of Stotler's A. G. Grocery Store in Dodge City for 35 years.
He was a member of the Howard Gotschall Post #1714 of Dodge City and the Dodge City Lion's Club. He also served as a past state commander for the V.F.W.
Raymond is survived by one son Raymond H. Stotler and wife Peggy of Ashland; one sister, Lorene Logan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Aileen, he is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Burns presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Howard Gotschall Post #1714 V.F.W. in care of the funeral home.
