Wright - Rebecca Ruth Knight, 72, died February 21, 2016 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City. She was born on November 13, 1943 at Rural Ford County, KS the daughter of Calvin Amos and Grace F. (Harzmann) Paxson.

She married Norman Leslie Knight on April 11, 1964 in Dodge City, he preceded her in death on December 10, 2009. Mrs. Knight worked for Alco's for twenty five years and later worked for Walmart for twenty two years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family in her spare time. Rebecca loved gardening and especially working in her yard which was her master piece.

She was a member of the Dodge City Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by four sons Danny Jo Knight and wife Wendy of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; Corky Knight and wife Melanie; Tom Knight and wife Jewel both of Dodge City; Scott Knight and wife Joann of Wright, two sisters Virginia Near and husband Dick of Central City, Nebraska and Roberta Kline of Longmont, Colorado. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Kenneth Paxson two sisters Mildred Pinkney and Betty Stout.

Memorial service will be held at Dodge City Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dr. Michael Burns (pastor) presiding. Inurnment will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday at Larned Cemetery in Larned, Kansas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Dodge City Meals on Wheels in care of the funeral home.
