Dodge City – Renata Cheri Blanchett, 58, ran into the arms of the Lord on March 14, 2018.  She was born on March 21, 1959 at Dodge City the daughter of Jack and Nancy (Milford) Blanchett.

Renata graduated from Dodge City High School and later attended Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas. Her smile could preach a sermon. She loved everyone she meet unconditionally. Renata loved making gifts for all her family and friends. She enjoyed working at Humble Flowers in her younger years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Contentment in Christ Sunday school class.

She is survived by her parents Jack and Nancy Blanchett of Dodge City; one sister Cindy Brand and husband Bill of Colwich; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Simmons of Dodge City; as well as several nieces and nephews and one great nephew.  She was preceded in death by her brother Chuck.

Funeral service will be held at First Christian Church on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 9:30 AM with Rev. Dusty Cookson, Mr. Richard Crockett, and Mr.Tito Pel presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018 from Noon to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Missions without Borders in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
