Puentes
July 26, 1953 – July 30, 2020
Ft. Dodge - Ricardo Puentes, 67, died July 30, 2020 at the Kansas Soldiers Home, Ft. Dodge. He was born on July 26, 1953 at Corpus Christi, Texas the son of Daniel and Celia (Rangel) Puentes.
My dad, He could be a good friend at time's. He was very stubborn and always had to have his way to the very end. If it wasn't his way he wouldn't have it. That's just how he was. He was most definitely a foodie. If the food wasn't good he'd let you know it and would often just make it himself or he wouldn't be satisfied. I'd say that was one of his best traits because when I was taking care of him and working 2 other jobs he'd be baking chicken or making roast beef. Whatever I brought home from the store he would make it taste good. We'd sit down to watch a movie and eat dinner together. That's always been his way. I thank you for that dad. ~J.D. Puentes
Today I say goodbye to the best friend I've ever had Rick Puentes I would like to give my condolences to his two sons J.D. Puentes and Ricardo Puentes and his family and friends. Back in the day we would get bored so we played cards and bet rocks. While in the guard we would get to use the tools and cook pots and pans and Rick would make homemade tortillas I would make the beans or chili beans and we also would make taquitos and burritos we had a good thing going. Rick and I always had a good time there and the guys would pay us for making the food.
In the summertime he and his family would come to my house and spend the weekend. We lived on a ranch and the Russian River was in the backyard so we would go camping and fishing. We always had each other's back. Rick was like a brother to me I'm just sorry that I can't be there to say goodbye to him but until we meet again God bless you Ricardo Puentes A.K.A. Robin A.K.A.
