Sublette - Richard "Dick" Hoffman, Jr., 59, died July 24, 2012 at the Satanta District Hospital, Satanta. He was born on November 18, 1952 in Garden City, the son of Richard and Frances Jean (French) Hoffman.

Dick was a lifetime resident of Sublette. He graduated from Sublette High School in 1970. Dick was very active in the Sublette Christian Church where he served as a deacon. Family was very important to Dick and he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Dick was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He was a member of the Sublette Christian Church.

Dick is survived by his parents, Richard and Frances Jean Hoffman of Sublette; three sisters, Nancy Weeks and
Sue Stoppel and husband Tom all of Sublette, and Cynthia Collier of Indio, California; three nephews, Steve Weeks, Clint Stoppel, and Chris Stoppel; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Christian Church on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Pastor David Erwin presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Sublette Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
