Dodge City - Ricky Joe Myers, 28, died December 4, 2011 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on May 6, 1983 at Ulysses, KS the son of Virginia Garcia (Myers) .

He married Donna Parsons on May 5, 2008 in Dodge City, she survives. Ricky was a 2001 graduate of Dodge City High School. He loved to take his daughter fishing and enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on anything that was broken.

He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Dodge City.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Donna Myers of the home; one daughter, Aleesha Myers of the home; his mother, Virginia Garcia of Dodge City; one sister, Andrea Gonzales of Dodge City; two brothers, Jason Myers and Anthony Gonzales both Dodge City; his grandmother, Frances Myers of Dodge City; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mishelle Myers and great grandparents, Andres Garcia Sr. and Sophia Garcia.

Funeral service will be held at First Southern Baptist Church on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Greg Savage presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from Noon - 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Ricky Joe Myers Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
