Robert J. Love, 82, died Friday, October 22, 2010 at Catholic Care Center in Wichita. He was born on December 11, 1927 at Dodge City the son of Young Noah and Idelia (Graves) Love.

Mr. Love was a lifelong resident of Dodge City, graduating from Dodge City Senior High School and Dodge City Community College. He was a watchmaker and jeweler and was owner of Bob Love Jewelry. Bob's interests included art and music. He was a painter and played the violin and guitar. Mr. Love was a member of the Ford County Five musical group and was a musical entertainer for the DCF&B railroad. Bob had spent the last ten months of his life as a resident at Catholic Care Center in Wichita.

He was a member of Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Knights of Columbus Council #2955, and the Rotary Club all of Dodge City.

Survivors include his wife, Clara B. (Carmichael) Love of Wichita; three daughters, Ramona Dellinger and husband David of Wichita, Alyce Davis and husband Clay of Wichita, and Paula Rowden and husband Jack of Hugoton; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Oleta (Love) Trefethen and Juanita (Love) Foulks; one brother, Young William Love; and two grandsons, Steve Jackson Dellinger and Joseph Davis.

Vigil service will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral - 903 Central - Dodge City on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:30 AM followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 AM with Rev. Pascal Kline presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City with military rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714 V.F.W. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
