Sublette - Robert Junior "Bob" Oringderff went to with our Lord on October 8, 2014.  He was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on December 23, 1923, the son of Robert and Laticia (Lettie) Oringderff, the second of three children.

The family moved to Dacoma, Oklahoma, when he was 9 years old, where he graduated from high school in 1941.  He was working in Washington State, in the ship yards, when he was called into the US Army in 1942.  He served in the European theatre and was captured in 1944 and held as a POW in a German prisoner of war camp until he was liberated, at the war's end, in April, 1945.

Bob and Mary Nell Walters were married in December, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas.  They moved to Sublette, Kansas, in 1948, where they raised two children, a daughter, Janice, and son, Richard.  Bob was a master carpenter where he built and remodeled houses, made furniture, cabinets and a ski boat in Sublette, most of that time as a second job.  He worked for and retired from Cities Service Gas Company.  He was baptized into Jesus Christ in1954, at Sublette Christian Church, where he served and worshiped for many years.  In 2008 he and his wife, Mary Nell, moved back to Wichita, Kansas, to be close to family, where he passed away in 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Nell, two children, Jan Vincent and Richard Oringderff, their spouses, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service for both Bob and Mary Nell will be held at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette, on Wednesday, June 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Swaim Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
