Obituary

Sublette - Roberta Maxine Moser, 81, died October 1, 2019 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.  She was born on February 8, 1938 at Garden City, the daughter of Harold and Norma Lorene (Newberry) Stucker.

Roberta spent her childhood in Garden City.  She graduated from Garden City High School in 1956.  On June 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Don Moser.  He preceded her in death on May 24, 2001.  After their marriage, the couple moved to Scott City for a short time. In 1958, they moved to Sublette where they made their home and raised four children.

Roberta was a stay at home mom while her children were young.  She was a seamstress, sewing for many people in Sublette.  After her children were older, she went to work in the restaurant industry.  She started at the Red Barn and later managed the Golden Prairie both in Sublette.  In 1998, she opened Mama Mo's Pizza, which she owned and operated until her retirement in 2007.  Roberta enjoyed bowling, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Sublette Christian Church.

Roberta is survived by four children, Kenneth Moser of Sublette, Susan Kennedy and husband Richard of Cedarvale, Stan Moser of Sublette, and Diana Moser of Garden City; a brother, Larry Stucker of South Carolina; one sister, Joan Peek of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and a brother, James Stucker.

Funeral service will be held at the Sublette Christian Church on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Brandon Mildren presiding.  Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from noon to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Roberta Moser Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
