Roberto Ortiz Reyes, 78, passed away on July 9, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas.

Roberto Ortiz Reyes was born on August 17, 1947 in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Mexico to Feliciano Ortiz Diaz and Caretina Reyes Castillo.He married Marguerita Ortiz on February 14, 1978 in Hays, Kansas, she survives. Roberto enjoyed going fishing, gardening, listening to music , dancing, singing, grilling out and spending time with his family. He worked for Cargill Beef Packing for thirty eight years. He is survived by his children Theresa and spouse Jesus Rivas, Caretina and spouse Heber Rivas , Juanita and spouse Santiago Lopez, Roberto and partner Daisy, Lorenzo and spouse Rosa Ortiz, Raquel and spouse Juan Varela, Topazio and partner Fabian and Humberto Ortiz. He is also survived by many grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Rafael Ortiz Reyes, Ana Maria Ortiz Reyes, Jorge Ortiz Reyes, Amparo Ortiz Reyes, Hugo Ortiz Reyes, Feliciano Ortiz Reyes, Enedina Ortiz Reyes, Laura Veronica Ortiz Reyes and Juan Manuel Ortiz Reyes. He is also survived by his step children Joseph Marshall Perez and Chente Perez. He was preceded in death by his stepchildren Severo Perez and Patricio Perez and a sister Alicia Ortiz Reyes.Vigil service will be held on at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Burial will be held at a later date in Mexico.
