Cimarron - Ronald Lynn Frink, 83, passed away on January 15, 2024 at the Shepherd's Center in Cimarron. He was born on March 3, 1940 near Ensign, the son of Glen H. and Goldie (Scoggins) Frink.
Ronald was a lifelong resident of the Ensign community and graduated from Ensign High School in 1958. He then attended Dodge City Community College. On June 1, 1959 he married the love of his life, Dora Ellen Faulkner at Dodge City. Ronald was a life-time farmer in the Ensign area. Ronald always loved to travel. After retiring the couple enjoyed many winters in Arizona. They spent many hours on their Razor searching for crystals with friends and attending lots of gospel jams. Ron also enjoyed restoring his antique John Deere AR tractor and tinkering with various projects in his "man cave".
He was a life-time member of the First Christian Church in Dodge City where he served as a Deacon and taught Sunday School for many years. Ron served on the board of directors of the Farmers Coop Grain and Supply in Ensign for several terms. He was also a member of the Ensign Masonic Lodge #413 A.F. & A.M., and was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Dora Ellen Frink of the home; four children, Ronda Blattner and Rick of Cimarron, Melinda Bryant and Gary of Cimarron, Doralene Daniels and Willie of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and Arch Frink and Michelle of Cimarron and his grandchildren, Ellen and Kade Henry, Charles and Shayla Blattner, Kari Blattner and fiancé Bryant Miller, Ryan and Lindsay Bryant, Breanna and Cody Eakes, Andrea and Tayler Seaton, Matt and Danette Thomas, Jennie and Kelly Nixon, Erik and Vicki Perkins, Dan and Mindy Daniels, Sarah Serrano, Curtis and Kirsten Frink, Cody Frink, Clay Frink and fiancé Macy Fugitt, and Kynlee Frink; twenty five great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeannette Koehler and Ed of Arlington Heights, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at First Christian Church in Dodge City on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Dusty Cookson presiding. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday January 19, 2024 from Noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
