Dodge City - Rosa Ramos Rincones, 67, died August 13, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on November 13, 1945 in Colorado City, Texas the daughter of Fransico and Amelia (Gonzales) Rincones.

Rose worked as a nurse at Garden Valley Retirement Center in Garden City and at Fort Dodge and IBP in Holcomb before retiring. She enjoyed collecting roosters, listening to Christian and Mexican music, watching Spanish soap operas, playing bingo, and solving word search puzzles. Rosa enjoyed taking care of the family. She helped raise many of the family and friends children. Rose was known to many as mom and grandmom.

Rose is survived by six children, Pedro (Pete) Ramos, Rudy Ramos, Sue Ann Ramos and companion Adolfo Alarcon, Irvin Ordiz and fiance, Vanessa Guzman, Eric Niave and fiance Amber Keller, and Amberly Alarcon; seven grandchildren, Erica, Kimberly, Adolfo, and Antonio Alarcon, Samantha, Jennifer, and Tyler Ramos; two great grandchildren, Gianna and Nicholas Ramos; two future great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ernie and Lucille Rincones of Garden City, Ray and Martha Rincones of Garden City, Mary Rincones of Liberal, Amelia and Pete Jeffery of Rifle, Colorado, Frank and Deloris Rincones of Dallas, Texas, Lollie Niave of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Armando and Beverly Rincones of Pueblo, Colorado, Sammy and Mary Rincones of Denver, Colorado, Daniel and Ofelia Rincones of Dodge City. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carlos and Oscar Rincones; and a sister, Flora Gomez.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Richard Perez presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation as taken place. Memorials are suggested to Rose Ramos Rincones Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
