Obituary
Roy Dean Betz, 45, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at his residence in Dodge City. He was born on February 17, 1964 at Larned the son of Dewain and Henrietta (Dechant) Betz.
As a child he lived in Bazine, Lacrosse and then moved to Salina. Roy graduated from Enterprise High School. Mr. Betz worked as an independent contractor in the telecommunications industry and worked for several major corporations in Kansas City, Phoenix and Tucson before moving to Dodge City to work for United Wireless.
He was a member of the Rotary Club of Dodge City.
He is survived by his mother, Henrietta Betz of Dodge City; one son, Brett Betz of Arizona; one daughter, Brittni Betz of Arizona; two brothers, Tom Betz of Arizona, and Denny Betz of Texas; and one sister, Michelle Newton of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father.
