Dodge City - Ruben Orozco-Guerrero, 76, died May 11, 2020 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.  He was born on November 2, 1943 in Mexico, the son of Jose Jesus and Francisca (Guerrero) Orozco.

Ruben spent his childhood in Mexico.  He married Maria E. Ambriz in 1967. Together, they raised eleven children.  Ruben was a very well known businessman in Mexico. The family later moved to California, where Ruben worked in the fields.  In 1997, the family moved to Dodge City.  Ruben worked as a taxi driver until his retirement.  Ruben was a hardworking, generous man who was always willing to help anyone in need.

Ruben is survived by his wife Maria E. Orozco; eleven children, Rosy Orozco, Angelica Partida, Ruben Orozco, Jr., Noe Orozco, Gustavo Orozco, Emigdio Orozco, Veronica Valdivia, Francisco Orozco, Patricia Orozco, Jesus Orozco, Lili Orozco; many grandchildren as well as other family and friends.

A private family funeral mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, on Sunday, May 17, 2020 from noon to 6:00 PM.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
