Dodge City - Ruben Rendon, 60, died June 7, 2011 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on December 7, 1950 at Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, Mexico the son of Juan Manuel Rendon and Guadalupe Hernandez.

Mr. Rendon came to the United States in the late 1970's and worked for Huff Trucking of Dodge City for the past three and a half years. He married Maria Isabel Meza in 1970. She survives.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

Mr. Rendon is survived by his wife Maria Isabel Rendon, three sons, Ruben Rendon and wife Martha of Dodge City, Roberto Rendon and wife Marisa of Dodge City and Aron Rendon and wife Samantha of Columbus Junction, Iowa; a daughter, Irma Lorena Rendon of Dodge City; his parents Juan Manuel Rendon and Guadalupe Hernandez of Mexico; six brothers, Jorge Rendon of Hooker, Oklahoma, Jesus Rendon of Perryton, Texas, Javier Rendon of Muscatine, Iowa, Aaron Rendon, Armando Rendon and Alfredo Rendon all of Torreon, Mexico; a sister Imelda Rendon of Torreon, Mexico and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Ted Skalsky celebrating. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2011 from Noon to 5:00 P.M. Vigil service will be 7:00 P.M.Friday, June 10, 2011 at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
