Sublette - Ruby Marie Ellsaesser, 99, died August 22, 2013 at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit in Satanta. She was born on October 21, 1913 in Kingsdown, the daughter of Ernest D. and Nona May (Danial) Dennis.

Ruby married Raymond Ellsaesser on April 24, 1946 in the home of his mother, Gertie Johanna Ellsaesser. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1989. Ruby worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for 20 years in the Haskell County Welfare Office and Consumer Cooperative Association in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was a member of the Sublette United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Modern Priscilla Club, Read-a-Book Club, Sosuntee Club, Local and Regional Arts and Crafts Clubs, and the Pride of Life.

Ruby is survived by one daughter, Nancy Meyer and husband Bill of Copeland; one son, Jerry Ellsaesser; three grandchildren, Travis Meyer and wife Brenda, Tamie Carr, and Kandi Ellsaesser; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Ray, Ruby is preceded in death by a son, George Ellsaesser, her parents, and three brothers, Glen, Victor, and Clifford Dennis.

Funeral service will be held at Sublette United Methodist Church on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Kent Scott presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from noon to 6:00 PM with the casket remaining closed.
