Ruby Kash, 82, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2018.

She was born Oct. 4, 1935, to Lochlin and Gracie (Campbell) Johnson.

A native of Wetumka, Okla., she moved to Garden City in 1952.

She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator until the local office closed. She then worked as the telephone operator at Garden City Community College until she retired.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Kash; sons, Steven and David; a daugher, Patricia; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation, which was handled by Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City, has taken place.

Memorial donations in memory of Ruby may by made to the American Cancer Society.
