Dodge City - Ruthann Keough died October 5, 2025 at her home in Dodge City.  She was born in Dodge City, the daughter of John Patrick and Nettie (Farrell) Keough.

Ruthann was a longtime resident of Dodge City. She graduated from Dodge City High School and went on to further her education at Emporia, earning a double major in education and business administration.  Ruthann continued her education at Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, where she completed the requirements for a Masters of Arts in education.

Keough taught for many years in Kansas before going to work for the Social Security Administration in Hutchinson and later in Dodge City. After her retirement, she enjoyed her hobbies and having coffee.

Ruthann is survived by her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Margaret, Mary Patricia, and Rosrita.

Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dodge City on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM with a rosary being at 9:30AM.  Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys, Kansas on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at noon.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund or Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
