Dodge City - Sandra Marie Brown, 50, died October 6, 2012 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on June 11, 1962 in Newton, the daughter of Dale E. and Mary E. (Hight) Brown.

Miss Brown graduated from Dodge City High School and Dodge City Community College. She worked at National Beef in Dodge City for 14 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City.

Sandra is survived by her father, Dale E. Brown of Dodge City; two sisters, Terry Jones and husband Marion "K.C." of Garden City and Michelle Plotner and husband Stanley of Dodge City; one step-brother, Don Clare of Dodge City; four nephews, Kenneth Plotner, Thomas Plotner, Corey Keller, Sr., and Jason Keller; one niece, Amanda Alavarado; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral service will be held at First Christian Church in Dodge City on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Phil Scott presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Friday, October 12, 2012 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
