Dodge City - Scott A. Stateler, 39, died March 11, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex , Dodge City. He was born on March 30, 1973 at Dodge City, Kansas the son of Stanley and Shirley (Andrews) Stateler .

He married Sara Winger on December 30, 1995 in Dodge City, she survives. He enjoyed working on the farm with his father and son. Scott worked for General Pest Control for the past eleven years as a certified applicator. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and bowling in his spare time. He was a avid key chain collector.
He was preceded in death by his father Stanley, and one son Kaleb and his grandparents.

He was a member of the of the Dodge City Bowling League.

He is survived by his wife Sara of the home; two daughters Hayley Lowery of Borger, TX.; Hope Stateler of the home and one son Tylor Stateler of the home. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Stateler of Dodge City and his grandmother Anita Richardson of Dodge City.

Funeral service will be held at the First Southern Baptist Church on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Chad Rhoades and Sean Schraeder presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Scott Stateler Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
