Dodge City - Shelby Andrews, 83, died December 13, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Dodge City. She was born on December 15, 1938 at Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Howard and Martina Betz.

She married Gerald Gene Schwien on October 12, 1957 in Ness City he preceded her in death on November 14, 1961 she then married Carrol Neal McCain on June 5, 1965 in Ness City, Kansas he preceded her in death on December 6, 1994. She later married Don G. Andrews on October 23, 1997 in Branson, Missouri he preceded her in death on July 11, 2017. Mrs. Andrews loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also loved to keep a very clean and tidy home. Mrs. Andrews always looked forward to a great day of shopping. Mrs. Andrews worked as a sales associate for Avon for a few years before going to work at Eckles Department Store and then later working for Dillons. She always said over the years that her many customers she worked with had become close friends and even felt like a second family to her. She was known by her friends and family as Nana.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe..

She is survived by two sons Troy McCain and wife Sarah of Dodge City; Rory Schwien and wife Theresa of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Megan, Melanie, Tanner, McKenzie, Creighton, Cecilia and Sierra. Mrs. Andrews is also survived by four great grandchildren Zayne, Avery, Rhylie and Kaysone.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands Gerald Gene Schwien, Carrol McCain and Don Andrews and one sister Sheila McBee.

Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday December 19, 2022 at 1:30 PM with Rev. John Stang presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Swaim Funeral Chapel.
