Obituary

Dodge City - Shirley Katherine Myers Keith, 66, passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 30, 1954 in Dodge City, the daughter of Roland and Anna (Novack) Myers.

Shirley grew up in Dodge City with her parents and five siblings. On November 14, 1971, she married Donald Lyle Keith in Dodge City. Together they had two children, Roland Dustin Keith (Dusty) and Joey Mathias Keith.

Her life was devoted to her family, and she loved spending time with every one of them. One of her favorite things to do was to teach her babies to cook and bake; she especially loved to decorate sugar cookies with all her babies during the holidays. Shirley enjoyed being right and was known for her sassiness. She loved going to bingo with her sister and spontaneous trips to the casino. She was known for online shopping, finding a good bargain, her scratch tickets, and having many different collections over the years.

She is survived by her two sons, Dusty Keith of Wichita and Joey Keith of Dodge City; ten granddaughters; one grandson; siblings, Don Myers and wife Linda of Liberal, Les Myers of Branson, Missouri, Mike (Mikey) Myers of Branson, Missouri, and Mary Myers of Dodge City. She was also "Gigi" to five boys, three girls, and one more on the way; as well as blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Anna; husband, Don L. Keith; and brother, Kenny Myers.
