Satanta - Socorro Castillo-de Chavez, 81, died July 19, 2013 at Satanta Long Term Care, Satanta. She was born on June 24, 1932 at Lacienga De Castillos, Chihuahua, Mexico the daughter of Porfiria Castillo Estrada.

Socorro grew up in Mexico. She moved to Satanta in 1992. Socorro married Francisco Chavez Ibarra. He preceded her in death. Socorro enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the Iglesia Sinai Church of Sublette and also attended the catholic church.

Socorro is survived by 10 children, Antonio Chavez, Pedro Chavez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, Alicia Najera, Porfiria Corral, Socorro Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Fransisco Chavez, Manuel Chavez, and Ramon Chavez; 28 grandchildren; and 44 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband; mother; one daughter, Atochita Chavez; two brothers, Joaquin and Jose Castillo; two sisters, Carmen and Bertha Castillo; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church in Sublette on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Juan Salazar presiding. Burial will follow at Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta. Visitation will be at Iglesia Bautista Hispana Church on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 10:00 AM to service time.
