Dodge City - Sondra Lou Wiseman, 77, died August 29, 2022 at St. Catherine Hospital of Dodge City.  She was born on February 25, 1945 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of George Henry and Mary Frances (Crane) Wiseman, Jr.

When Sondra was an infant, the family returned to Dodge City.  She attended school in Dodge City, graduating from Dodge City High School.  Sondra worked for Kline's in Dodge City as a young adult. She married Walter LeRoy Burt and they had two children.  They later divorced.  Sondra then moved to Colorado. She married Bob Blancett and together they managed a gold mine for many years.  Sondra also was a manager for a motel chain.

Sondra is survived by two children, Rochelle Rowley of Emporia and Anthony "Tony" Burt of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Damon Burt, Rachael Rowley, Kirsten Brooks, and Andrew Burt, six great grandchildren; and a brother, Niles Wiseman and wife Sue of Dodge City.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob and a grandson, Tristan Rowley.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  There is no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie in care Swaim Funeral Chapel.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
