Dodge City - Steaven Payne, 51, died May 5, 2020 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on April 6, 1969 at Amarillo, Texas.

He enjoyed going to thrift stores, jogging, gardening and listening to rock music in his spare time. Steaven had such a love of animals and would help any stray animal he could. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family dearly.  Steaven rode motor cross for a few years, and had a sharp eye for antiques.

He is survived by his wife Rachael Olivarez of the home; two daughters Kerrie Payne and husband Jacob Thornton of Amarillo, Texas; Kelsey Lewis of Amarillo, Texas; life long friend Lisa Payne of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers Jason Payne and Josh Payne of Washington;and one sister Rachael Payne of Washington, and his step mother Cindy Payne of Washington. He is also survived by three stepchildren Sam Olivarez, Greg Olivarez, James Olivarez all of Dodge City as well as eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
