Montezuma - Steve Good, 60, died September 9, 2019 at his home in Montezuma. He was born on September 22, 1958 in Dodge City, the son of Bill and Margaret (McCune) Good.

Steve was a lifetime resident of Montezuma. He graduated from Montezuma High School, playing football throughout high school. Steve then attended Dodge City Community College. Belonging to a long line of farmers, Steve returned to Montezuma to farm along side his father. They raised wheat, corn, milo, soybeans, and cattle. Steve continued to farm until his retirement five years ago due to his health. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his son, Tyson Good and wife Rebecca of Montezuma; daughter, Amanda Koehn and husband Russell of Sublette; two step-sons, Ted Whisler and wife Kayla of Phoenix, Arizona and Jason Whisler and wife Laura of Mulvane; his mother, Margaret of Montezuma; 12 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Payten, and Remington Good; Ian, Greenley, Oliver, and Elijah Koehn, Wyatt Whisler, Addison, Kolton, Easton, and Emerson Whisler; and his nephew and niece, Rusty and Holly Good of Kansas City. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill and a brother, Todd.

Funeral service will be held at Montezuma United Methodist Church on Friday September 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the casket will remain closed at the funeral. Memorials are suggested to Gray County EMS or Montezuma Fire Department in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, Montezuma.
