Dodge City - Tamara Woods, 61, died March 14, 2021 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on July 27, 1959 at Ness City, Kansas the daughter of William Harry and Joan Marie (Wasinger) VanDegrift.

She married Donald Woods on September 14, 1985 in Ness City, he survives. Mrs. Woods loved working on Arts and Crafts projects and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

She is survived by her mother Joan VanDegrift of Ness City; husband Donald of the home; three sons Dustin Woods of Dodge City; Colt Woods and wife Jocelin of Wichita; Shawn Woods and wife Sheridan of Ness City; three brothers Tom VanDegrift and wife Denise of LaRae, Kansas; Todd VanDegrift and wife Stephanie of Dodge City; Troy VanDegrift and companion Emy of Ness City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Evangelyne, Zane, Zoey, Zerik, Zayden, Drake and Hudson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday March 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Vigil service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM.
