DODGE CITY - Teresa Sue Valles, 47, died December 31, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on May 24, 1966 at Denver, Colorado the daughter Leonard E. and Judy (Rossen) Jones.

Teresa grew up in Merino, Colorado and graduated from Merino High School. She attended Aims Community College in Greely, Colorado. Theresa moved to Dodge City from Colorado in 2006. She was currently employed at Dodge City Medical Center. In 1995 she married Artemio Valles.

She attended the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Artemio Valles of Dodge City; three daughters, Brooke Benavente of Colorado, Sonya Barron of Dodge City, and Rachael Corona of Colorado; two sons, Misael Valles of Colorado and Jose Adrian Barron, Jr of Dodge City; eight grandchildren; her parents, Leonard and Judy Jones of California; and three sisters, Brenda Hernandez, Julie Esparza and Elena Molina all of Colorado.

Vigil Service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from Noon to 6:00 PM.
