TERRESA ANN CARMONA

Dodge City - Terresa Ann Carmona, 54, died February 9, 2014 at Via Christi St. Teresa Campus in Wichita. She was born on June 30, 1959 at Dodge City the daughter of David and Mary Jane (Sandoval) Sanchez.

Terresa attended schools in Dodge City and graduated from Dodge City High School. She married Thomas Carmona on March 23, 1978 in Dodge City. They were married by Father Ted Skalsky and it was Father Skalsky's first wedding ceremony. Mrs. Carmona was a longtime hair stylist and beautician that loved interacting with her clients and co-workers. Her patrons would become lifelong friends. When she was not busy with work she spent time with her children's activities. She also loved to feed everyone from her husband's co-workers to all the neighborhood kids or even strangers that needed comfort.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Wichita where she often participated in the choir.

Terresa is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Carmona of Wichita; one daughter, Shannon Clark of Clearwater; one son, Thomas Carmona, Jr. of Topeka; her father, David Sanchez of Dodge City; her mother, Mary Jane Sandoval of Dodge City; one sister, Rachel Morrow of Wichita; one grandson, Elijah Clark of Clearwater; one granddaughter, Aaliyah Clark of Clearwater; and three nephews, Michio Sanchez, Dominic Sanchez, and Tavon Marrow all of Wichita. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and David Sanchez.

Memorial mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Terrance Klein presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Vigil service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 7:00 P.M..
